I lived in Buffalo for the decade before “Name” and used to see the Goos for $2 cover charge. My buddy’s sister married George, so there would be nights he hung out with the band at their apartment before their midnight show. The firing of George over money soured me as a huge fan but I’ve seen them 4 times from 1995-2023 and I still know the words to all the songs from the last century. The Goos were us and we are the Goos.
